Tang was also looking win all three titles on final’s day and got off to a strong start in the boys singles against teammate Justin Lee. The first game was a close affair; however Tang always had his nose in front and took the opener 21-19. Lee got out to an early lead in the second games, however soe strong attacking play from Tang saw him work his way back into the lead and close out the match 21-16.

The second set was a completely different match, with both sides going point for point. It took 5 match points, but Tang and Lee eventually closed out the second games, winning 25-23.

Going into the mixed doubles Lai and Tang were both looking to make it 3 titles, however someone would be disappointed.
