Aussie Team Departs for Lion Foundation Pan Pacific Series
The YANG YANG Australian Under 19 Team departed for New Zealand yesterday in a bid to defend the Lion Foundation Pan Pacific Series Title which they have held since 2006.
Australia will not have it all their own way, facing of against stiff opposition in the form of the Singapore Sports School, New Zealand and New Zealand Associations Teams in the 3 day event. Matches will be held over the next three days starting at 4pm AEST each day. Australia will kick off their campaign against New Zealand Associations this afternoon.
The even will be round robin format with all teams playing each other once, while each tie will be best of 11 matches (3xMS 3xWS 1xMD 1xWD 3xMX)
Following on from the Pan Pacific Series, will be Westpac New Zealand Junior International. All the players from the Pan Pacific Series will be joined by many others to compete for the title.
