5th IWG on Women in Sport Conference

 

Participating as one of the Sports Ambassadors at the 5th IWG World Conference in Women and Sport that was held in Sydney recently was an honour. It was 3 days of constant learning and realisation of how women all over the world are making a difference though sport and other areas.

The conference was not only to recognise women excelling in their respective sports, but also to highlight and discuss various issues faced by women all around the world in striving towards success in their chosen field.

Not only was the conference an excellent way to inspire men and women to work together, it was also to ensure that women take their rightful place among the policy makers and those making the critical decisions that affect women across all of society.

Badminton Australia was one of the 8 national sporting bodies to sponsor the event, and I would like to express my gratitude to BA for giving me the opportunity to be involved and help make the 5th IWG World Conference in Women and Sport a success.
