Olympic update - latest draw

Congratulations to Veeran and Choo on an excellent win in the Women’s doubles over South Africa which is Australia’s first Olympic win since 2000.

Following on from an intense two week training camp in Melbourne it was looking like the Aussie badminton team would have the perfect preparation for the Olympic Games with a final week long training camp on British soil in Derby.

Following the disqualifications of eight players in the womens doubles (a pair from China, two pairs from Korea and one from Indonesia), four pairs from Groups A and C, including Australian pairing of Leanne Choo and Renuga Veeran, were promoted to the quarter-finals playoff.

HRH Prince Charles also met with players from Commonwealth countries. Here he chats with Australia's Glenn Warfe.

Australia has rounded off an eventful pre games camp with an exhibition match against some of Great Briton’s best current players and recent retirees in front of a 500 strong local crowd in Derbyshire.
